Three Step Process
Step 1
We are sorry we were not able to gather in person for our annual welcoming and orientation for our new community members. In our effort to make sure all of our new community members are prepared for a successful transition to middle school, we have created a 15 minute video to share important information. We invite our incoming students and their parents to watch the Sixth Grade Orientation video. After watching the video, move forward to Step 2.

Step 2
There is great value in being intentional about maintaining your academic knowledge and skills and in positively stimulating your mind. We ask all of our students to build reading, writing, and math practice into their summer routine. Renaissance teachers have created a menu of learning tasks that are designed to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners and are intended to be fun. Guardian and student should review and discuss the summer learning tasks. It is recommended that guardians help their child develop a schedule and plan for engaging in these tasks throughout the summer. After reviewing and discussing the below ELA and math tasks, move on to Step 3.
Step 3
We hope you enjoyed the Sixth Grade Orientation video and reviewing the summer learning tasks. Next, click on the image below to complete a short survey that will position the Renaissance staff to be best prepared to successfully launch the next school year.
Congratulations! You have completed the three-step Sixth Grade Orientation process.
